Terms of use

Effective 28 October 2026

The short version

1. About these terms

These terms apply to the CV Atlas website and builder (the “service”), run by Aoun Zia, New Shalimar Colony, Multan, Pakistan (“we”, “us”). By using the service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. Our privacy policy and disclaimer also apply.

2. The service

CV Atlas helps you write a CV that follows the conventions of the country and job you choose, and export it as a PDF, a Word file, a print or plain text. You need an account to use the builder.

We may change, pause or stop the service, or any feature. If we stop the service, we will give signed-in users reasonable notice so they can download their data. Keep your own copy (a download, or your Google Drive) of anything important.

Plans and payment

“Making” a CV means downloading it (PDF, Word or text), printing it, copying its text or saving it to Google Drive for the first time. You can edit a CV you have made as often as you like; making it again does not count twice. “Saved” CVs are the ones kept in your account; others stay in your browser or your own Google Drive.

3. Your content

4. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

Personal, non-commercial use is the main purpose. Careers advisers, universities and employers may use the service to help people write their own CVs.

5. Our content and third-party material

The CV Atlas name, design, text and the selection and arrangement of country and job guidance belong to us, except for the open-source components listed on the credits page, which are used under their own licences. Names of regulators, professional bodies, laws and companies mentioned in the guidance belong to their owners. Mentioning them does not mean they endorse or are connected with CV Atlas.

6. Guidance is general information

Country conventions, job-specific tips, registration details and readiness checks are general information, not legal, immigration, career or professional advice. They may be incomplete or out of date, and individual employers, application forms and regulators may ask for something different. Their instructions take priority. Read the full disclaimer.

7. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose, or that using it will get you an interview or a job. Check every exported document before you send it.

8. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, opportunity, income or employment arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of £100 and what you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep the protections that the law where you live gives you.

The guidance links to regulators, governments and other sources so you can check them. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or availability.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the service changes or the law requires it. We will change the effective date at the top of this page. Using the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts. Consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland can also use the courts there.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term straight away does not mean we give it up.
